We got to work understanding why and how Women Friendly Leeds came about. Inspired by the UN’s Women Friendly Cities initiative Leeds is the first city in the UK to receive funding to help Leeds become a more accessible city for women. With the mindset that a city which is better for women is ultimately better for everyone, the initiative can work in tandem with Leeds City Council’s Best City Plan.
Following on from in-depth creative research and workshop conducted for the hub branding a secondary women’s owl was created with a bespoke colour scheme which contrasts beautifully with the hub logo.
Supporting brand guidelines were created showing how to use the logo in different spaces and scenarios, as well as with or without the strapline.
Further guidance was given on how to prepare typography, photography and layouts for marketing communications in-line with the empowering values the brand stands for.
