What we did: Whilst volunteering with World Fair Trade producer organisations in Asia Bob at Fair Go Trading commissioned me to design an exclusive range of homewares.
We kicked off with two different pattern designs. My designs were then hand painted by artisans and Noah’s Ark, India onto handy storage tins. Creating these designs empowered the producers with trend led designs. The design is modern but the technique is an traditional Indian painting technique and therefore the product preserves the heritage skills of Indian artist whilst meeting the needs of the modern market.
Following the success of these ranges I then worked on a seaside design and helped Bob to source a whole range of artisan products from various fair traders in India and Nepal.
